Currently, Hugh holds CPA licenses in states of Florida, Nevada and Ohio.
Hugh obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Canisius College Buffalo, NY in 2004. Hugh acquired an Ohio CPA license in 2012, Nevada non-resident CPA license in 2018, and Florida CPA license in 2017. Hugh Earned designation as a Chartered Global Management Accountant CGMA in 2015 and earned certification in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency for Accounting and Finance Professionals from the AICPA in 2018. Hugh is a member of the FICPA, OSCPA, AICPA, AICPA – Forensic and Valuation Services Section, and AICPA – Tax Section.
Hugh developed, authored, and co-authored companion animal, specialty practice, and mixed animal veterinary charts of accounts used throughout the country. He has structured numerous veterinary and dental practice sale and acquisition transactions on a nationwide basis. Consultant to CPAs, consultants, and attorneys on veterinary and dental mergers, acquisitions, and practice transition. Co-organized multiple national veterinary mergers and acquisitions.
Hugh has worked closely with Big Four accounting firms in large national veterinary equity sales to both private equity and strategic buyers. Authored, co-authored, and developed multiple internal software programs for use in specific application within the veterinary profession. Performed numerous calculations of value for veterinary, dental, and pediatric practices. Designed and maintained ground-up information systems for both clients as well as our firm.
Hugh has setup and provisioned multitudes of network system hardware components. Co-developed model for more precise valuation of veterinary real estate. He works with clients to identify, develop, and implement the best strategies for practice incubation, growth and success. Hugh has facilitated practice mergers and acquisitions. While maintaining a focus on veterinary, dental and human medical consultations from authoring professional chart of accounts, structuring compensation plans, exploring and discussing tax implications for transactions, and educating clients on different tax planning options.

Paul is a senior financial executive with over 25+ years of experience in assisting public and privately held companies grow their businesses worldwide. Paul’s career demonstrates a track record of successfully leading major transformative initiatives while optimizing complex financial management processes and executing major M&A and capital raise transactions. He also brings deep corporate governance experience through his work with corporate boards, including audit and compensation committees, and is qualified to serve on audit committees as a financial expert.
Currently, Paul is the Chief Financial Officer of a start-up boutique firm specializing in write up and accounting services in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Previously, Paul was the Chief Financial Officer of Companion Animal Practices North America, LLC a division of Veterinary Centers of America, Inc. a $3B subsidiary of Mars, Inc. He has also, previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Spectrum Group International, Inc. an $7.4B Fortune 500 global trading, wholesale, retail, and high-end collectibles company with operations in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Paul has led multiple sale and capital raise transactions that ranged from $26M to $512M. He has also directed several enterprise-wide transformative initiatives focused on efficiently optimizing the financial management process to ensure the organization was capable of adapting to changing market conditions and disruptive market forces.
Paul was the Director of Income Tax Processes and Systems at Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. an $8.8B multinational public gaming, hospitality and retail company. He was responsible for developing and implementing electronic systems and standard processes to create a more efficient income tax provision and reporting system for the organization.
As Corporate Controller and Director of Tax at Fontainebleau Resorts, LLC a $3B start-up gaming, hospitality and retail construction project, Paul was responsible for developing and implementing all financial accounting, construction accounting and reporting systems along with all other aspects of the Controller’s function. Paul drove the budgeting and planning processes and oversaw the income tax function.
Paul was a finalist for “Chief Financial Officer of the Year” by the Financial Executives Intenational Las Vegas Chapter in 2017 and 2016 and nominated for Chief Financial Officer of the Year the Orange County Business Review Journal in 2013, 2012 and 2011.
